His Work and Educational Background
In 1977, Abdul-Rashid Femi Owoyemi graduated as a chartered management accountant (Prize Winner) at South West London College. He completed his MBA with distinction at the University of Lagos in 1985, and he was at Manchester Business School - Senior International Bankers Program in 1991.
He was a consultant at KPMG before joining First City Merchant Bank in 1989 as a senior manager. Before he left the bank in 1992, he rose to the position of deputy general manager. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN).
His Background in Theology
Although born into a Muslim family, Abdul-Rashid Femi Owoyemi’s interests, beliefs, and faith aligned more with Christianity. In June 1996, he graduated from the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOBFI).
He got his associate degree from the Evangelical Theological College of West Africa in 2003. In the same year, he completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Theology (PGD TH) from the Redeemed Christian Bible College. In 2012, he was awarded an honorary doctorate in Theology from Evangelical Theological College of West Africa.
Femi Owoyemi has ministered in Nigeria and in the United States. He has ministered extensively among Indians in Massachusetts, has held several Outdoor Crusades/Revivals, and has preached in many states.
He was ordained an evangelist in Christ Miracle Vineyard Church in 1994, a pastor in 1998, and district superintendent (North American Missions) in 2001. By faith, he was able to plant two branches of Christ Miracle Vineyard Church. One was located in Providence (established in 1998) and the other was in Boston (established in 2000).
Through divine direction, he was able to establish Kingdom Lighthouse Church in 2009, where he currently serves as the pastor. Femi Owoyemi is married to Pastor Modupe Owoyemi who also works as an attorney. He and his spouse are blessed with many children.
